The challenge
Ketamine Wellness NY runs multiple clinics across Long Island and Queens, treating a patient base that's naturally skeptical of a sensitive, regulated therapy — they need education and trust signals before they'll even consider booking. The existing site had duplicated content between locations (the classic "swap the city name" pattern), no schema markup, and weak local-search foundations for location clarity and consistent business information.
My approach
I implemented a local SEO and trust-building strategy focused on implementation, not promised rankings:
- Unique location pages — separate, genuinely distinct pages for Long Island and Queens with local staff bios, testimonials, and location-specific FAQs — no templated city-swapping
- Trust-first design — medical credentials, clinical imagery, and educational content placed above the fold specifically for skeptical first-time researchers
- Schema markup per location — MedicalBusiness, LocalBusiness, MedicalProcedure, FAQPage, and Review markup
- Local-search foundations — Google Business Profile setup support, aligned name/address/phone details on the site and profile, and location-specific Search Console views
The outcome
We implemented location-specific pages with schema markup and local-search foundations such as location clarity, service structure and consistent business information. Service and location content was structured around relevant patient search intent.
Duplicate content across near-identical location pages is a real SEO trap — Google can flag city-swapped pages as thin/duplicate content and refuse to rank either. The technical challenge was building a content architecture where each location page had genuinely unique, location-specific substance (not just a swapped city name), while still sharing a consistent WordPress template underneath so future locations could launch fast without repeating this design work from scratch.
